Standing in the Arena: Executive Mentoring

You know who you are.

You’ve built. You’ve led. You’ve sacrificed. You’ve stood alone in moments when others looked to you for answers, even when you didn’t have them. You’ve felt the exhaustion that follows big wins, and the silence that follows hard losses.

That’s what it means to be in the arena.
Not just busy. Not just important. But responsible.

This isn’t where people go to be cheered on.
It’s where leaders go when they’re carrying the weight of decisions no one else sees, and they’re ready to lead with more clarity, sustainability, and depth.

Standing in the Arena is a private mentorship and advisory experience designed for high-performing leaders who are already operating at the highest levels — and want more than just a sounding board.

It’s a relationship built on transparency, courage, strategic reflection, and personal clarity. A place where you can stop posturing, process complexity, and align who you are with how you lead.

Inside Standing in the Arena...

We engage in deep one-to-one mentorship tailored to your leadership challenges and personal thresholds. We unpack the weight, get to the core of what’s driving you, and realign how you’re leading, not just externally, but internally. For those who want it, we also offer curated peer conversations with other seasoned leaders – the kind of people who get it without explanation.

This isn’t where you come to be cheered on. It’s where you come to be real. To stop carrying it all alone, to get honest about what’s working and what’s not, and to rise with more clarity, conviction, and capacity than ever before.

I don’t mentor from the bleachers. I’ve been in the arena. I’ve lost things in here, and I’ve found things, too. That’s why this space matters.

If you’re a CEO, founder, or senior executive navigating complexity and feeling the personal weight of it… this may be the most important conversation you’ll have this year.
Because leadership at this level should not be lonely.  And you shouldn’t have to pretend anymore.

The Methodology:

My coaching integrates principles from adult development theory, systems thinking, and presence-based coaching. I work with high-level leaders to evolve how they think, lead, and grow, not just tactically, but from the inside out. The frameworks I use draw from Kegan’s adult development, Senge’s systems thinking, and Goldsmith’s measurable accountability models.

All of that is woven into my own method, The Arena, where leaders step into their full presence and lead with clarity, intention, and courage.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

About Standing In The Arena & Executive Mentoring

Individual mentoring, as I practice it, is a collaborative process where we focus on creating space for you to live the life you have always envisioned. Mentoring is future-focused and action-oriented with equal amounts of “why” and “how.” It helps you harness your strengths and tackle specific challenges. While coaching often involves guidance from someone experienced in a particular field, mentoring with me is about facilitating your personal growth and decision-making through tailored strategies and insights.

With my mentoring, you can expect to gain clarity on your goals, develop actionable strategies, and receive the support needed to implement them effectively. In your personal life, this could mean improving your work-life balance, boosting confidence, or enhancing personal relationships. Professionally, my mentoring can help you navigate career transitions, enhance leadership skills, or overcome specific workplace challenges. My goal is to provide you with tools and insights that are actionable and relevant to your unique situation.

My sessions are interactive and designed to be both supportive and challenging, deep and light-hearted, serious and fun, and aimed at fostering your growth and success. You can expect a deep conversation, revealing questions, and a few suggestions thrown in along the way. It’s your time. Plan for 60 minutes in-person or over Zoom. Each hour’s investment is $350, and we typically will do two sessions per month, in three-month intervals.

Mentoring is likely a good fit if you’re committed to your personal or professional development and open to exploring new approaches to achieve your goals. To choose the right mentor, consider my background in executive and individual mentoring, and how my approach aligns with your needs. I emphasize a personalized, results-driven methodology, and I offer an initial consultation to discuss your goals and determine if my mentoring style is a good match for you.

The short answer? We’ll know. The duration of mentoring can vary based on your goals and the complexity of the challenges you’re facing. Some clients achieve their goals in a few conversations, while others benefit from a longer-term engagement. Progress is measured through the achievement of your set objectives, improvements in key areas of your life, and ongoing feedback. Typically, we’ll engage in three-month increments, meeting twice a month. If you feel after three months you’re on your way, great.
